Backpackers Hostel in Kyoto

The hostel opened in Kyoto in 2002. It's an 8 minute walk from Kyoto Station. There are many important historical sites such as Toji Temple or Fushimi-Inari Shrine. The building used to be a boutique. There are individual private rooms and a cosy common room (Kitchen, Livingroom, Laundry, Shower room) in the hostel.

Japanese style Budget Hostel in Hiroshima

The hostel opened in Hiroshima in November 2006. The builing used to be a Japanese style ryokan and most guest rooms are Japanese style with tatami matts. Located near the Peace Memorial Park and A-bomb Dome. You can also go to Miyajima, which is one of the 3 most scenic spots in Japan, by tram.

Backpackers Hostel in Osaka

The hostel opened in Osaka in february 2008. It's just about 10 minutes walk to Osaka station, which has extensive travel links to everywhere. It could be a starting point for all sightseeing places not only Osaka but also Nara, Kobe, Wakayama.

Transportation

One day bus pass

500 yen one day pass by Kyoto City Bus is useful for city sightseeing. You can hop-on/off within most parts of the city. This is only good for City Bus.


Kyoto Sightseeing Pass

All City Buses, subway lines, and most of Kyoto Bus lines are available. 1 day pass 1200 Yen, 2 day pass 2000 Yen, half pricefor children.


Kansai Thru Pass

If you travel around Kansai area for a few days, Kansai Thru Pass is moresuitable. You can ride on subways, private railways and buses in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe, and Wakayama. This economical ticket is available for 2 days (3,800Yen) or 3 days (5,000 Yen) use. And you will receive special services in various facilities, including temples in Kyoto and Nara. You can buy it at KIX(Kansai Itnl AP) Travel Counter, Kyoto City Bus Center at Kyoto Station, Shin-Osaka station subway infomation center and Itami AP infomation center.


JR West Railway Pass

If you prefer travelling in Kansai mostly using JR, JR West Railway Pass can help you. This pass allows unlimited use of the ordinary-class cars (including rapid-service and special rapid-service trains) in the Kansai area including Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji, and other famous sightseeing locations.
